Yacht rentals have always been popular in Broward County, but in recent years, their popularity has really exploded. Just do a quick search for “yacht rental near me” and there’s no doubt you’ll find a list of companies to choose from. While choice is always a good thing, with so many options, trying to decide which Coral Springs, FL yacht rental company to choose can seem a bit overwhelming. To make the process a bit easier, here are some simple tips that you can use to find the right yacht rental near you.
Consider the Vessels
It goes without saying but it’s certainly worth mentioning that you want to make sure that you set sail on a well-appointed vessel; after all, that’s the main reason you’re renting a yacht, otherwise, you’d just take out a dingy. When you’re narrowing down your options, one of the first things you should consider is the type of vessels the company offers. A reputable Coral Springs, FL yacht rental provider will offer a full fleet of luxury, well-appointed, yachts in a variety of sizes. Their fleet of vessels will be equipped with the finest features, the most lavish amenities, and the most state-of-the-art technologies. When you’re researching “yacht rental near me”, choose a company that offers vessels that not only offer enough space to comfortably accommodate the group that will be accompanying you on your journey, but that will really make you feel pampered and special.
Inquire About Specialized Services
A reputable Coral Springs, FL yacht rental charter company will specialize in offering specific services, and they will be proficient in those services. For example, if you’re organizing a fishing trip with your buddies, the company you choose should be able to attend to all of your needs; likewise, if you’re planning a honeymoon to celebrate your nuptials, the yacht rental company you choose should offer specific services that will ensure everything is impeccable. When you’re looking for a yacht rental near you, be sure that you inquire about the specialized services they offer so that you can ensure the company you choose will be able to satisfy your every need.
Consider the Crew
You’ll also want to consider the crew when you’re hiring a yacht charter company. This includes the captain, as well as the crew that will be serving you, as they will have a direct impact on your entire experience. They should be courteous, kind, poised, and display the utmost professionalism. They should be highly knowledgeable about the local sea regions that you will be sailing, as well as the coastlines that you may be docking at. Furthermore, the crew should be more than happy to attend to your every need, committed to exceeding your expectations, and they should be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you and your entire guest list will have the most memorable experience.
Assess Responsiveness and First Impressions
When you place queries with Coral Springs, FL yacht rental companies, assess their responsiveness. Whether you reach out to them via email or through a contact form on their website, or you contact them by phone and leave a message, they should reply quickly. The associate you speak with should provide you with all of the relevant details, answer all of your questions, and of course, they should be pleasant. If any of the companies you’re considering do not respond to your inquiries in a timely manner, they are unable to answer your questions, they provide limited details, and they seem rushed, rude, and bothered by your questions, consider those red flags and cross them off your list. The impression that a yacht rental company makes is a direct reflection of the type of service and experience you can expect.
Last but certainly not least, when you are trying to decide which Broward County yacht rental company to choose, make sure you check their references. When you reach out to each company, ask if they can furnish a list of references. Take the time to contact at least a few of those references and ask about the experience they had with the company; if they were happy with the yacht, the crew, and the services they offered – and of course, whether or not they would recommend using the company. If any of the companies you speak with are hesitant about offering references, you have a hard time getting in touch with the references they do provide, or they fail to honor your request, you should be leery about proceeding with them. Of course, it goes without saying that if they do provide references, but the information they share is less-than-impressive, that should be a warning sign that you should cross them off your list. Any reliable yacht rental near you will be more than happy to offer references that you can easily get in touch with, and their references will provide glowing reviews and recommendations.

Coral Springs, officially the City of Coral Springs, is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States, approximately 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Fort Lauderdale. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population of 121,096. It is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area, which was home to an estimated 6,012,331 people at the 2015 census.
Coral Springs is a planned community. Prior to its incorporation as a city in July 1963, the area which is now Coral Springs was part of 20,000 acres (81 km2) of marshy lands bought by Henry Lyons between 1911 and 1939. After several floods in 1947, Florida created the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District (now the South Florida Water Management District). Canals and levees drained much of the area upon which Coral Springs was built. After the land was drained and cleared, most of the area was used as a bean farm. After Lyons’ death in 1952, his heirs changed the focus to cattle.
A post-World War II real estate boom in South Florida attracted the interest of developers. Coral Ridge Properties, which already had several developments in Broward County, bought 3,869 acres (16 km2) of land from the Lyons family on December 14, 1961 for $1 million. The City of Coral Springs was chartered on July 10, 1963. Other names that were considered for the new city included ‘Curran Village,’ ‘Pompano Springs’ and ‘Quartermore’. By 1964, the company had developed a master plan for a city of 50,000 residents. On July 22, 1964, the first sale of 536 building lots netted $1.6 million. The landmark covered bridge was built that same year to promote the town. In 1965, Coral Ridge Properties bought an additional 6,000 acres (24 km2) from the Lyons family, increasing the city’s land area to 16 square miles (41 km2). The first city government elections were held in 1967.
The city added 19 public schools, a regional mall, shopping centers and parks between 1970 and 2000 in response to rapid population growth. The biggest shopping mall in the city is Coral Square, which opened in October 1984 with 945,000 square feet (87,800 m2) of retail space and more than 120 stores. The construction of the Sawgrass Expressway in 1986 brought even more growth. A museum and a theater opened in the 1990s. The city reached residential build-out in 2003 and is very close to a commercial build-out.
